Introduction

Welcome to the TAPM Audio Series, a collection of presentations on topics for physicians and other healthcare professionals with an interest in hospice & palliative medicine.  This is offered as part of TAPM's mission to support medical education and the scientific advancement of palliative medicine.
Background

TAPM has partnered with VistaCare to create this series.  Since 2001, VistaCare has held a regular hospice and palliative medicine educational teleconference for its hospice medical directors.  Each teleconference is facilitated by a senior medical director, each of whom is American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine certified.  Recent calls have been recorded and from these the following nine modules were created.  Each module can be easily downloaded and accessed by anyone. Please click on each of the modules listed below to go to the page describing each presentation in detail and to download the audio file, resource materials, post-test and post-test reporting/evaluation form.

Module 1: Opioid Pain Management
Module 2: Neuropathic Pain & Adjuvant Therapy
Module 3: Acute Infections in Hospice
Module 4: Seizures in End of Life
Module 5: Metastatic Pain Management
Module 6: Cachexia, Anorexia, & Fatigue
Module 7: Anxiety, Agitation and Delirium in the Hospice Population
