Scully Letter
Thomas Scully, Administrator of CMS (formerly HCFA), wrote a letter to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization regarding hospice eligibility, in order to allay physicians concerns about hospice eligible patients who survive greater than six months. This is a great resource to present when someone expresses concerns about a patient "going over 6 months."
